The Saxion premises and square will be the venue for ‘International Students Meet Enschede 2010’, an event organised for the more than 1,000 new to arrive international students who join the 2,200 international students studying in Enschede at ArtEZ, ITC, Saxion and the University of Twente.

On Friday 9 April a group of four international Saxion students was awarded the first prize in the ‘Zuiderzeeland Award 2010’. In the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander this water management prize was presented to the winners from Saxion University and Rotterdam University by the governor of Flevoland, Mr. Leen Verbeek. 

The Ministry of Economic Affairs has granted Saxion University of Applied Sciences special subsidies for its project 'IPO goes China'. The department of industrial product design of Saxion University plans to use these funds for their international activities, aiming to further develop their insights into the Chinese market and industry.
