Starting this year, NESO China has set up an “Orange Tulip Scholarship” (OTS) programme to support highly talented Chinese students in getting their Master’s degree at one of the institutions for higher education in the Netherlands. Saxion University of Applied Sciences is one of the sponsors for this scholarship, offering two Orange Tulip Scholarships.
In total, 22 Orange Tulip Scholarships were awarded to students from China, enabling them to get their Master’s degree in the Netherlands. On June 20, the scholarships were awarded in an Awarding Ceremony at the Royal Dutch Embassy in Beijing. The event was organised by the Netherlands Education Support Office China (NESO) and was supported by the Royal Dutch Embassy. Over 70 people attended the event.
One of Saxion’s alumni, mr. Zhao Bo, presented the Saxion Orange Tulip Scholarships to it’s winners on behalf of Saxion University. In his speech, he praised NESO and the sponsors for setting up the scholarship programme. He referred to his own search for overseas education and said the Dutch higher education “is renowned internationally and Saxion University is one of the institutes offering quality education”.
