Saxion first to receive institutional accreditation
Thu 15 December 2011 - 16:33
The Netherlands Flanders Accreditation Organisation (NVAO) recently awarded Saxion with the first institutional accreditation for Dutch Universities of Applied Sciences. Saxion’s programmes are regularly audited by the NVAO, and this accreditation is big step forward. The auditors judged Saxion’s institution-wide procedures and regulations to be solid.
Normally, with every accreditation, the auditors would also look at procedures at an institutional level. With this institutional accreditation, for the next six years only the educational quality will be audited.
“This is a fantastic milestone for Saxion!”, says Saxion president mr. Wim Boomkamp. “It means we can take giant steps in improving our educational quality in the next few years.”
