As an international student, there were some things that made my studying in Saxion Deventer very rewarding. Firstly, Deventer is such a nice small town. Clean, quiet town with charming town center, fit for students who want to explore both nature and architectural heritage value. Secondly, I became friends with people who came from different countries. We shared stories and compared experiences in both academic and everyday life which was really fun and mind-opening.

The time I spent there was very enjoyable...

Last but not least, I enjoyed the Dutch learning system the most. There were a lot of discussion, excursions and presentations, mostly with group work. We were taught to be independent in opinion, and in setting our goal and schedule, at the same time we learned to work effectively and efficiently in group. Teachers and students interaction was more open and dynamic, and it made our studying more productive. My thesis on 'Connectivity in Urban Waterfront Spatial Planning in Developing Countries' won 2nd price in ZuiderZeeLand Award and it was beyond my expectation.

The time I spent there was very enjoyable and now I am trying to apply all the positive value both in my professional and social life.
