I am Omoruyi Erhabor, a Nigerian and just completed my Master degree in Facility Management (FM) from the University of Greenwich in collaboration with Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Deventer the Netherlands. It was a great experience indeed to have passed through Saxion in this regard.

I am returning back to my organization to apply newly acquired skills and knowledge!

Some of the modules that I took really gave me deeper insight to appreciating the importance FM and the FM’s tools in real life scenarios in divers organizational settings. For instance, Information management, Management principles and Building management are just three modules out of the lot. I am returning back to my organization (one of the leading banks in Nigeria) to apply these newly acquired skills and knowledge in the sphere of FM in line with the corporate vision and missions of my institution.

Moreover, I intend in the nearest future to set up my own FM organization to attend to the growing needs of Facilities management activities in my country.

Any prospecting student(s) should however note that bagging an MSc is not on a platter of gold. It required diligence, discipline, determination to get to the end of the tunnel.
