Course content
Jointly with students from different countries, you will expand your practical skills and theoretical expertise in the professional field of Social Work during this Short Course in which English is the official language. Diversity and integration are the key issues in this Final Year, whilst making use of the participants’ international experience and background. This Short Course is extra interesting if you aspire a managerial position in the future. Besides attention for research, innovations, new Social Work methods and prevention, management subjects are included in the programme as well.
Examples of the topics to be discussed are care and treatment of addicts, crime and (social) safety, migration and diversity, domestic violence, fighting poverty and several state of the art methods. Furthermore the difference is that you are explicitly counselled and work on your personal development and personal effectiveness. You will leave the University as a highly trained social worker, prepared for a management role.
Specific requirements
First of all you have to meet the general entry requirements. Besides that, the following applies to all students wanting to enrol in this final year.
