Electricity is everywhere and its applications are infinite. All applications are designed, engineered, sold and maintained. Many people are working in the electronic business, and there are many jobs available at this moment. The 4 year course Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Saxion is the start of a great career in electronics.

In the Short Degree Program (SDP) we offer two specialisations Electronic Information Engineering  and Electrical Power and Automation. At this moment it is a good time to find a job in the electrical business area.

You can use the form below to get more information on the course, or you can e-mail mr. Jan Bollen directly: j.w.bollen@saxion.nl or add him to your skype: jan.bollen.nl.

Our bachelor curriculum of EEE is built on knowledge and competences. Knowledge the student will gain in lectures, and competences the student will gain in projects. The SDP program has got a variable length of 2, 3 or 4 semesters, depending of your start situation. In the Electrical Power and Automation (EPA) specialisation the student will learn about industrial automation, power electronics and power systems. In the Electronic Information Engineering (EIE) the student will learn about microcontrollers, hardware description language and data networks.

Both specialisations take part in the multi-disciplinary Living Technology Project semester. During this project semester students learn how to  design a system, carry out applied research and manage projects effectively. At the end of the programme every student will do his/her final thesis in a company, for 20 weeks full time.

Please download both curricula here. A more detailed course content description and the complete curriculum for more information.

Our general entry requirements apply. Beside these, we require:

  1. A high school degree including Mathematics & Physics.
  2. A number of years (1 tot 4) of Bachelor in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) education with theoretical knowledge, courses lab work and projects.
