Getting tested

We understand you might have questions and uncertainties about how to receive a vaccination against Covid-19 in the Netherlands as an international student at Saxion. We therefore think it is important to tell you as clearly as possible what is currently possible to receive a vaccination.

International students will receive an invitation letter, send by the RIVM to get the COVID-19 vaccine, as soon as possible. To receive the invitation letter a student needs to be registered at the city hall. Make sure you are registered at the city hall of your municipality. Next to this make sure you have a DigiD, see below how to apply for DigiD.

Medical indication
Do you need the COVID-19 vaccine sooner, due to a medical indication? You have to contact the family doctor. To contact the family doctor, you find detailed information here.

Apply for DigiD
With your DigiD you identify yourself when you arrange matters online, such as with the government and healthcare organizations.

Apply for DigiD here.

You will have to fill in the online Application Form of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) to schedule an appointment at the Public Health Service (GGD).

Important note: If you had a first vaccination in your home country that is not recognised by the Dutch Government, you have to take the second vaccination in your home country.

Get your first dose where and when you want. Immediately and without an appointment.
Important: only possible when you don’t already have an appointment.
