Planning to start your own business? Join our Entrepreneurial Learning Community!

Are you an international student at Saxion who would like to start your own business and have support from interesting & experienced speakers and fellow students? Then this meeting is certainly for you!

The meetings are for both international and Dutch students, but the meeting will be held in the English language.

Saxion has a growing percentage of international students and consequently also a rising number of (international) students that are thinking of starting their own business.

Starting a business for international students in the context of the Netherlands can be challenging: Different rules and regulations, a different culture and likely a less developed network than at home.

What we would like to do, is to come together in an informal setting with a group of likeminded people to discuss topics, learn from each other & experts and spend some time on networking.

The first meeting will be held on Friday 12 April 2019 in Saxion Enschede in room W118. The general topic of this meeting will be about Defining/refining your own business model.

14:00 Opening, welcome and introduction
14:15 Participants get to know each other (small pitches about business ideas)
14:30 The quest for a scalable business model” by Jorg Wellink, founder of SolarCycleNL and student ambassador for international students at the University of Twente.
15:00 Interactive reaction session about the pitches of business ideas
15:30 Small workshop “Rethinking Business Models”
16:15 Closure and possibility for a drink in the Grand Café at Saxion (Ground floor)

Everyone is very welcome to attend! Please don’t hesitate to spread the idea of this meeting with fellow students who you think may be interested in learning more about entrepreneurship.

For your OWN agenda
