The HOI-week Apeldoorn

If you enrol in the Hotel Management or Security Management programmes, you will be studying in Apeldoorn.

Apeldoorn is a very green city – there is a park or woodland area on almost every street corner. However, the city has much more to offer than that. For example, did you know that Apeldoorn has about 150,000 inhabitants, making it one of the ten largest cities in the Netherlands? This city on the edge of the Veluwe national park is booming and investing large sums in culture, education, sports and leisure. As a result, you will notice that there is always something going on in Apeldoorn. The intimate city centre is a great place for shopping and going out.

The Caterplein is where you can find the funkiest pubs and hippest dining spots. Lots of well-known artists perform in and around the square in the summer. If you are into culture and the arts, the CODA Museum or the Huis voor Schoone Kunsten are the places to be. The Orpheus theatre offers an extensive and varied bill each year.

Sports fans should head to Omnisport Apeldoorn, which consists of an athletics hall doubling as an indoor velodrome, a venue for top-class sports and other sports facilities. Omnisport Apeldoorn is the only venue in the Netherlands that meets international standards for indoor athletics and track cycling.
