General Assembly E³UDRES² 5-6 March 2024 in Timisoara

Within E³UDRES², we operate from ten different work packages towards the development of the future European university. Saxion leads two work packages: 'Developing Talents' and 'Regional Innovation Hubs'. A delegation from Saxion participated in the E³UDRES² conference at partner University Politechnica Timisoara in early March. This biennial general conference provides an opportunity for the 9 partners of E³UDRES² to meet, discuss the substantive progress of the alliance, and make further agreements.

Topics that were central during the conference included:

  • Focus on advancing European higher education through innovation and regional integration.
  • Discussion centered on shaping the university of the future and establishing a multi-university European campus.
  • Strategizing common study programs, excellence centers, and research strategies.
  • Noteworthy achievements in the first stage include pioneering i-Living-Labs and enhancing student representation within the Alliance.

We look back on a very successful conference where attention was paid to further E³UDRES² family and community building, project management, and making agreements regarding accountability and achieving intended goal states. Additionally, there were substantive discussion tables on generic topics such as research strategy, quality assurance within E³UDRES², facilitating mobility for staff and students, digitalization, and embedding educational activities in curricula at all partners.
