Who is E³UDRES² for?
The primary goal of E³UDRES² involves inspiring and educating our students to become the ultimate change-makers. These change-makers are individuals within the community who approach intricate issues with a fresh outlook. They engage in cooperative efforts with diverse disciplines and stakeholders and ultimately drive tangible transformation within the region.
Between Hackathons, Living Labs, Bootcamps and other activites, there are plenty of activites students can participate in. Through this alliance, Saxion gains access to an extensive and exclusive network of European universities, opening doors to collaboration and providing the students, faculty and staff with exciting new opportunities. Students will benefit from increased mobility within Europe and become part of one multi-campus European university.
E³UDRES² brings together people from all walks of life going beyond traditional university pursuits. It aims to empower a diverse community of individuals, including learners, educators, researchers, entrepreneurs, non-academic staff, and other collaborators. Together, we aspire to be catalysts for change, making a positive impact on our local neighborhoods by transforming them into smart and sustainable regions.

I worked in international teams, met new people, and together we tried to solve real problems. We used research, tech, and teamwork to create new ideas in just a few days. It was intense, but also really fun. What I liked the most is that we were actually working on real-world issues, not just theory. I learned a lot about how to think fast, communicate better, and work with people from different cultures.

Student Experiences
Hackathon
In December 2024, I had the chance to participate in my very first hackathon, and it was an experience I’ll never forget. Held at Saxion, the event was more than just a challenge it was a 36-hour rollercoaster of creativity, teamwork, and pure fun.
From the very beginning, the coaches made everything incredibly interactive and engaging. We didn’t just learn we laughed, played games, sang karaoke, and bonded over endless cups of coffee. The atmosphere was electric, filled with students from different universities, all working together, learning from each other, and creating something meaningful.
My friend and I challenged ourselves to stay awake for the full 36 hours, and somehow, we did it! By the time we gave our final presentation, we were completely exhausted but also proud and full of unforgettable memories. Beyond the project work, what stood out the most was the connection we formed with others. We came in as teammates, and by the end, we left as close friends.
The E³UDRES² Hackathon was not just about innovation it was about people, passion, and pushing your limits in the best possible way.
Denis Yordanova
Bootcamp in Hungary
"I really enjoyed working on the proeject. Especially because there were people from different backgrounds in my team, which was really nice because they all brought something new. Some team members had knowledge that I was not aware of, and I learned a lot from them. It was a new experience because we had to do so much in a very short time. We had to identify each team member's strengths and utilize them to work fast and come up with a great solution. Our stakeholder was also very happy with the results and wanted us to continue working on the plan and potentially turn it into a business."
Mette - Bachelor of Hotel Management
I Living Labs in Latvia
"During this time, I learned a lot not only about and from my team but also about myself. Because Saxion is so structured in their teachings, I already knew how to approach the challenge compared to my team. It was a challenge to share that knowledge without overbearing them. However, I managed to overcome that and learn how to be adaptable, open and transparent. I was able to learn from local experts and bring back the knowledge I learned to my fellow students at Saxion. I am so proud of myself for having the confidence to go away for one week and jump into this workshop with people I’ve never met in a place I’ve never been."
