E³UDRES² Alliance

We are an official member of E³UDRES². Composed of nine universities, E³UDRES² is a European network that decided to closely work together and collaborate in the fields of research, teaching, innovation, entrepreneurship and much more. Not only will this strengthen the university networks within our region creating new opportunities for collaboration and growth, but it also aims to shape a progressive European society, promote European values, and strengthen the European identity. Learn how this massive collaboration will have a lasting and transformative impact, with the participation of a large student population in E³UDRES² activities by 2030.

What is E³UDRES²?

The E³UDRES² Alliance

E³UDRES² is a European University Alliance. E³UDRES² is an acronym for Engaged and Entrepreneurial European (3xE=E³) University as Driver for European Smart and Sustainable (2xS = S²) Regions. E³UDRES² pronounced is "you-dress," without the numbers involved. It is a network of nine higher education institutions that collaborate closely in order to have a substantial impact in higher education and within the local regions. This alliance brings together a diverse group of universities of applied sciences (UAS) that are:

  • Dynamic, smaller-sized universities with <30,000 students
  • Located in small or medium-sized European cities within smaller European countries
  • Deeply rooted in our local environments
  • Internationally connected and active within the European higher education area

Who is E³UDRES² for?

The primary goal of E³UDRES² involves inspiring and educating our students to become the ultimate change-makers. These change-makers are individuals within the community who approach intricate issues with a fresh outlook. They engage in cooperative efforts with diverse disciplines and stakeholders and ultimately drive tangible transformation within the region.

Between Hackathons, Living Labs, Bootcamps and other activites, there are plenty of activites students can participate in. Through this alliance, Saxion gains access to an extensive and exclusive network of European universities, opening doors to collaboration and providing the students, faculty and staff with exciting new opportunities. Students will benefit from increased mobility within Europe and become part of one multi-campus European university.

During this experience, I learned a lot not only about and from my team but also about myself. I was able to learn from local experts and bring back the knowledge I learned to my fellow students at Saxion. I am so proud of myself for having the confidence to go away for one week and jump into this workshop with people I’ve never met in a place I’ve never been.

Student Experiences

Bootcamp in Hungary

"It's a very fun week filled with activities and emotions. It depends on your interests and study program, but even if the topic is not directly related to your field of study, there are still things you can contribute and learn. It's a great opportunity to meet new people, experience different cultures, and challenge yourself."

Bootcamp in Hungary

"I really enjoyed working on the proeject. Especially because there were people from different backgrounds in my team, which was really nice because they all brought something new. Some team members had knowledge that I was not aware of, and I learned a lot from them. It was a new experience because we had to do so much in a very short time. We had to identify each team member's strengths and utilize them to work fast and come up with a great solution. Our stakeholder was also very happy with the results and wanted us to continue working on the plan and potentially turn it into a business."

I Living Labs in Latvia

"During this time, I learned a lot not only about and from my team but also about myself. Because Saxion is so structured in their teachings, I already knew how to approach the challenge compared to my team. It was a challenge to share that knowledge without overbearing them. However, I managed to overcome that and learn how to be adaptable, open and transparent. I was able to learn from local experts and bring back the knowledge I learned to my fellow students at Saxion. I am so proud of myself for having the confidence to go away for one week and jump into this workshop with people I’ve never met in a place I’ve never been."
