Application
- Do I need to apply for a preparatory course?
-
A preparatory course is focussed on upgrading your English language proficiency. You only need to apply for a preparatory course when you don’t meet our entry requirements on English language proficiency.
Some countries are recognized by us as English speaking countries. Students from these countries don’t need to prove their English proficiency level.
Students submitting to a preparatory course, will only be admitted when they are also admitted to one of our bachelor or master courses. Check our entry requirements for more detailed information.
- What documents do I need to submit to apply for a Bachelor or Master course?

To get admission to a four-year bachelor programme you need to submit:
- Legalized copy of original and translation of diploma and gradelist of High School.
- Proof of English language proficiency, by submitting an original of legalized copy of Ielts or Toefl test with the required score of 6.0 (ielts) or 550 (toefl, paper based).
To get admission to a final year bachelor programme you need to submit:
- Legalized copy of original and translation of diploma and/or gradelists of Higher Education.
- Proof of English language proficiency, by submitting an original of legalized copy of Ielts or Toefl test with the required score of 6.0 (ielts) or 550 (toefl, paper based).
To get admission to a master programme you need to submit:
- Legalized copy of original and translation of Bachelor degree and gradelists.
- Proof of English language proficiency, by submitting an original of legalized copy of Ielts or Toefl test with the required score of 6.0 (ielts) or 550 (toefl, paper based).

- What is the application deadline?

We have several deadlines throughout the year:
For our International students (non-EU/EEA):
- For admission in September: application deadline is 1 July, deadline for payment is 1 August.
- For admission in February: application deadline is 15 December, deadline for payment is 1st week of January.
- For admission in July (Preparatory Short Track, Foundation Summer Course): application deadline is 15 May, deadline for payment is 1 June.
For our European students (EU/EEA):
- For admission in September: application deadline is 15 August, deadline for payment is 1 September.
- For admission in February: application deadline is 15 January, deadline for payment is 1 February.
- For admission in July (Preparatory Short Track, Foundation Summer Course): application deadline is 15 June, deadline for payment is 1 July.
- Where can I find the application form?

You can find our online application form here.
- How can I apply for a course at Saxion?

You can apply by filling out our online enrolment form. We need your signature on the form, so be sure to print out the document and send it to us.
Make sure that you hand in the following documents with your enrolment:
- 1 copy of passport
- 1 legalized copy of your High School diploma (including mark/grade lists), both in the original language and English translation
- 1 legalized copy of all Higher Education qualification (including mark/grade lists), both in the original language and English translation
- Proof of English language proficiency (if applicable): TOEFL, IELTS or other type of score mentioned in the entrance requirement of each course
- Curriculum Vitae
Note that you need to submit original documents or legalized copies, normal copies will not be accepted.
- What are the general entry requirements to Saxions international courses?

We listed the general requirements here. Several courses have special requirements. You can find these special requirements on the pages of the courses.
- Is there any way to check the status of my admission?

We will inform you about your admission by sending you a letter of admission. If we have any questions, we will try to contact you by e-mail. In the near future we will launch a students’ extranet on which you will be able check and follow the status of your admission.
- What is the TOEFL institution code of Saxion Universities?

Saxion University does not have an institution code for TOEFL. The code is not necessary though, you can ask ETS to send the results directly to Saxion University of Applied Sciences.
Finance
- Can I pay the package fee in installments?

No, you cannot pay the package fee in installments.
- Where can I find information about the fee structure and/or the tuition fees?

- Do you accept payment by cheques?

No, we do not accept cheques. You need to pay the package-fee by bank. Details about our bank account can be found on the invoice you will receive after your admission.
Scholarships
- Does Saxion University have scholarships to offer?

Yes. We currently offer Saxion Top Talent Scholarships and Saxion Talent Scholarships to bachelor students outside the EU/EEA. You can find the information on scholarships here.
- How do I apply for a Saxion Scholarship?

The Saxion Talent Scholarship is awarded on a first come, first served basis and will be awarded automatically to all students who meet the entry requirements. For this scholarship, an extra application is not necessary.
You can apply for the Saxion Top Talent Scholarship by filling out the form from our website. Please fill in this form and send it digitally to scholarships@saxion.nl or you can send in a copy by postal mail. - What are the requirements to apply for a Saxion Top Talent Scholarship?

Saxion Top Talent Scholarship requires IELTS 6.5 and an average score of 75% on your list of marks from your previous education.
