The course is structured around topics of the textbook Robbins, S.P. &  Judge, T.A. (2019) Organizational Behaviour. Harlow: Pearson in combination with some topics from Arnold, J. & Randall, R. et all (2016). Work Psychology. Harlow: Pearson.

The major psychological topics are:

  • Ability
  • Personality
  • Values
  • Perception
  • Individual decision making
  • Emotions and moods

Each subject will be treated on individual level, but we will also look at global implications, to highlight cultural differences in organizational behaviour across countries and continents.

Test criteria

The assessment consists of 40 multiple choice questions on the theory.

The student can define, identify, describe or compare psychological theories on:

• Ability 
• Personality 
• Values 
• Perception 
• Individual decision-making 
• Emotions and Moods 

The student develops insight into the importance of understanding human behaviour and how managers may use or manipulate that behaviour in order to benefit the organisation.

The student improves his or her accuracy in explaining and predicting behaviour of individuals in the workplace.

The student develops the ability to formulate supported arguments and be critical in evaluating organisational behaviour concepts.

The student is able to apply psychological theories on individual level but is also aware of cultural differences in organisational behaviour across countries and continents.

The student develops insight into his or her own personality and behaviour .
