In this course, we will take a closer look at the role of Talent Management and Training & Development in organisations, with special focus on onboarding. Onboarding is a growing focus of Organisational Training & Talent Development departments. Successful onboarding is more then mere orientation. It should be a strategic programme that brings diverse stakeholders together to engage new hires over the first year of their tenure. Successful onboarding should increase employee productivity and engagement levels, reduce turnover and elevate a company’s employment brand in the eyes of prospective hires (Stein A). Christiansen L. 2010).

This course will focus on:

  • Understanding of the function and role of training and development professionals with a special focus on onboarding;analysing and translating client’s onboarding challenge into an HR specific report
  • Developing an e-learning module in form of a 'digital presentation with voiceover'
  • Present and conduct a two-way meeting with the client to engage in open feedback conversation
