The focus in this course is that students will learn how to link personal goals and motivation through TRS (TOTAL REWARD SYSTEM) with organizational goals, strategy and objectives. This means that students will be asked first to make the organizational goals and current situation concrete. Second, to evaluate the organizational structure and job specifications in order to be able to assess the specific individual contributions to these organizational goals. Third, to reward these various individual- and group contributions by setting up a reward system on both individual- and group level. Fourth and finally, to incorporate career paths as part of the TRS approach, in order for the organization to be able to attract, develop and maintain their critical workforce and for the employees to have a career. This makes rewards and compensation and benefits (C&B) an integrated and important part of the HRM business tool kit.
