In Intercultural Communication 2, we will take it one step further than in Intercultural Communication 1: We challenge the student to create synergy in international business.  We will focus on practical actions and are going to find solutions for practical (HRM) cases that organisations are able to use to leverage cultural differences (Trompenaars & Hampden-Turner, 2012).  We will do so by using the theory of Trompenaars & Hampden-Turner (2012) who are trying to comprehend diversity in global business and are trying to build cross-cultural competence out of conflicting values (which is called Reconciliation). We will also use interactive tools get our message across. The theme of this course is East and West. Due to the fact that the majority of the students are of Western origin, we will pay special attention to researching selected Eastern cultures.
