Competence 1 Technical knowledge and analysis. Level 1 The beginning professional has at his disposal a thorough knowledge of the latest technologies in the field of raw materials, fabrics, production (knitting, weaving, nonwovens and clothing technology), finishing and printing, and of the supply chain within the international textile and fashion industry. The professional is capable of carrying out and applying technical research and analysis.

Test criteria

The student is able to classify fabrics based on weave (flat, twill, satin) and recognize, compare and give a value to the properties of fabrics. The student can name and understand the weaving process and the different parts of the weaving machines (dobby, eccentric and jacquard) The student is able to name and argue the application possibilities of fabrics (depending on the binding). The student can name and understand the knitting process and the different parts of the knitting machine (flat knitting machine). The student has knowledge of the properties and bonds (RR and RL) of knitted fabrics and can explain and apply them.
