Competence 1 Technical knowledge and analysis. Level 2 The beginning professional has at his disposal a thorough knowledge of the latest technologies in the field of raw materials, fabrics, production (knitting, weaving, nonwovens and clothing technology), finishing and printing, and of the supply chain within the international textile and fashion industry. The professional is capable of carrying out and applying technical research and analysis.

Test criteria

The student can analyze and select the printing process, the methods and the machines and can recognize and compare the properties and trade names of the printed materials. The student is able to name different fabric properties and explain how these are obtained by applying the different coatings, laminating materials and machines. The student has knowledge of Tricot and Rachel machines and computer-controlled flat knitting machines and knows the (sustainable) applications for this. The student has knowledge of jacquard, warp knits and ordinary weaves and knows how to name and analyze their properties.
