After following these module, students can:
Fluid Mechanics: calculate Hydraulic pressures and forces; Understand and can make calculations of the three laws of physics: 1. Conservation of Matter 2. Conservation of Energy 3, Conservation of Momentum.
Structural Engineering: know principles of using the Eurocode; apply safety philosophy and safety factors; determine loads on bridge structures; set up a structural scheme and determining the bending moments and shear forces; calculate reinforcement needed to resist the bending of beam or plate.
Geotechnical Engineering: Knowledge of basic soil mechanics and foundations.
