A wide range of electrical systems can be described mathematically using differential equations (DE). By solving such a DE you can simulate or predict the behaviour of such a system. Laplace Transforms are especially interesting in solving systems of DEs.

Learning goals

Students will be able to: - Recognise a differential equation and classify it - Formulate an electrical network problem in terms of a differential equation - Solve differential equations - Perform Laplace Transforms on (a set of) differential equations - Apply Inverse Laplace Transforms - Use Laplace Transforms to solve systems of differential equations
