Aim of the project:
In this project, you will investigate how the supply chain of a textile related product looks like. You will discover what consumers know about the products they buy and experience the transparency (or lack thereof) in the market. You will work on the topics of sustainability, finances, production locations, stakeholders, legal issues and intercultural communication. 
Project description:
On the basis of two self-selected products, you map out two supply chains using fact sheets on 7 topics. You also create two Technical Packs, two infographics and two FQPs.

Specific learning goals:
In this project the students will design, in groups of 3-4, a sustainable, commercially viable, product, process or application in the field of Composites and or Technical and Functional textiles for a client. Based on a list of demands the students will determine product specifications and design a product idea. Based on this product idea the students will make a product breakdown structure and produce a prototype. This prototype will be tested on relevant properties. The students will reflect on their individual contribution to the project and that of other group members and learn from in for future projects. 
•    The student is able to prepare a relevant list of demands.
•    The student is able to link a relevant list of demands to product specifications. 
•    The student is able to link product specifications to the design of a product, process or application. 
•    Student is able to make a product breakdown structure.
•    Student is able to make a prototype. 
•    Student is able to select proper tests and perform these tests. 
•    Student is able to reflect on his/her individual contribution to the project and to those of other group members and learn from it for future projects.
