Practicum 1 & 2 & 3
The module consists of three independent practical trainings (I, II & III), each have a specific character with respect to form and topic. All three modules have a project-based character and have a threefold basis of knowledge, skills and executing a research-based project in nano- and micro-fabrication and cleanroom technology (both from a bottom-up as well as a top-down perspective). For all three modules the students work in groups to complete the various phases of a R&D-process. For Practicum I the focus lies on the bottom-up synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles, for practicum III it lies on the formation of microelectromechanical systems, while practicum II focuses on the fabrication and characterization of solar cells.
