Buffalo

Buffalo - Boessenkool’s Unmanned Frequent Flying Aerial robot for Large Objects - is a collaborative project between Machinefabriek Boessenkool B.V. and Research Group Mechatronics at Saxion University of Applied Sciences. The main goal of this project is the development a robust mega drone-docking station technology for carrying of safe missions involving transportation of significantly large and dynamic payloads. This project is generously supported by TechforFuture.

Main research/technology areas

  • Stable flight of a mega drone with large and dynamic payload
  • Intuitive human-machine interaction
  • Trajectory generation and tracking for constrained motion of mega drone
  • Mobile and rugged docking station with mechanical aid for landing
