Learning goals

In this Lab, the main focus of the learning is the development of professional attitude and behaviour in relationships with clients. Students will also learn about the different ways to develop adaptability in an organisation. This will be supported by weekly workshops in the morning and weekly coaching sessions in the afternoon or meetings with the client. Commonalities between the three focus areas:

• Student/researchers define and redefine the organisational problem based on a contracting meeting with the client (phase 1) • Student/researchers and organisational members actively participate in the discovery of data on a client partnership basis. The discovery process involves both research and intervention. Students will be stimulated to apply innovative ways to discover data: it may take the form of a workshop, group discussion, focus group, game, open space, large group intervention (phase 2).

• The feedback of data and proposed improvements takes place in the form of an assessment together with (a representative of) the client (phase 3).

• Students make the business case for the implementation of their proposed improvements by estimating benefits and calculating costs (phase 4)
