Learning goals
The basic Group Dynamic Theory that is being used in this course, is the Tuckmans 5 stage-theory with non-directive of passive leaders; Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing, Adjourning. (Joing Together, Johnson & Johnson, 2014 11th edition, pages27, 28).
At the end of the Group Dynamics 2 course, students are able to:
1. Recognise the different developmental stages of groups based on the abovementioned theories
2. Analyse the different roles & norms within the group, based on the abovementioned theories
3. Design and conduct (or train) a group dynamic session (exercise / workshop), with the objective to positively promote interaction within the group in order to enhance group performance and evaluate using the provided form.
4. Making clear choices in and reflecting upon the interventions in positively promoting interaction in the group during the conducted group sessions.
5. Interview management about their team, analyse the dynamic stage that the group is in and advise the manager on taking further steps to positively promote group dynamics with the use of the theory used in GD1 and GD2.
6. Reflect upon all interventions used in promoting interaction as trainer in the workshop and set up new goals of interventions to further positively enhance group performance.
