03-11-2021 Corona-update: New measures announced from 6 November

Reading time Minutes

On Tuesday 2 November there was another press conference in which the Cabinet announced a number of new corona measures and advices. These measures will come into effect on Saturday 6 November 2021. In this update you can read what this means for studying at Saxion.

Face masks and 1,5 meters distance advice

From 6 November, it is again mandatory to wear a face mask when you move through the communal areas of the Saxion buildings. You do not have to wear a face mask within the classrooms and offices. In addition, the Cabinet advises to keep a distance of 1.5 meters from each other. It is wise to keep some distance in the communal areas. This is not necessary during educational activities.

Keep testing yourself before coming to Saxion

We ask you to continue self-testing for Covid-19 before coming to Saxion. The cabinet advises doing this twice a week. You can order your Covid-19 self-tests free of charge via www.zelftestonderwijs.nl. The use of self-tests is voluntary. If you have any symptoms that resemble those of Covid-19, stay at home and make an appointment with the GGD (Municipal Health Services) for a test. Self-testing does not replace a GGD test.

Vaccinations are also helping to make sure universities are safe spaces. That’s why we encourage you to get vaccinated if you haven’t already. You can make an appointment for this via www.planjeprik.nl or by calling the GGD (Municipal Health Services). You can also get vaccinated without an appointment
