Indonesia interested in methodology of research group Modelling Societal Impact
On the 17th of May Attila Németh en Anouk Visser, from the research group Modelling Societal Impact (Saxion University of Applied Sciences), gave a presentation on their research and methodology concerning the social value of the Dutch probation services for a delegation from Indonesia.
Since 2019 the Directorate of Corrections (Ditjen Pas), part of the ministry of justice and probation in Indonesia, is working together with the Dutch Probation Service/Reclassering Nederland. In line with this cooperation a visit to the Netherlands was organised for various organisations from the Indonesian penal chain to come in contact with the Public Prosecution Office, Court, Custodial Institutions Agency, Dutch Probation Service and the Police in the Netherlands. The central theme was penal chain cooperation. The organisation was in the hands of the Centre for International Legal Cooperation (CILC) and the Dutch Probation Service/International Office. The visit is financed by the ministry of Foreign Affairs from the Peer2Peer4Justice programme.
In this meeting the research group presented the structure and methods which can be used to give insight in social value, the results on the social value of the Dutch probation services and how results on social value can be used in practice. The delegation from Indonesia sees opportunities for the application of the developed methodology in their own organisations.
Thanks to Ferry van Aagten, Paul Nijman, Adeline Tibakweitira, Linda Biesot and Raymond Swennenhuis for organisation and support.
