Sustainable energy transition
In the SAST research group, we approach key questions in the energy transition by developing solution-oriented strategies for residents and municipalities. Adopting a location-specific approach to the energy system and the infrastructure developed above and below ground, we take a multidisciplinary approach, drawing on social and community sciences and often collaborating with construction engineers and system integrators.
Key themes of our research:
Spatial connection and embedding of renewable energy generation, storage and delivery in cities, neighbourhoods and homes, both above and below ground.
Work on the design and acceptance of technology for the energy transition, developed by and for citizens, residents and businesses.
WarmingUp
WarmingUp is a large research programme in which research organisations, companies and governments work together on the question of how collective heat systems can be developed and deployed reliably, sustainably and affordably.
