Saxion Green Office
Within Saxion, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are anchored to the Saxion Green Office. With our Green Office, we hope to inspire, enthuse and energise our students and staff to do their bit for the SDGs.
The Green Office also highlights any sustainable initiative throughout Saxion, and we try to grow student involvement in these initiatives. We organise events and establish collaborations. The Saxion Green Office aspires to make the SDGs part of the DNA of our staff and students.
Would you like to contribute too?

Green Ambassador Programme
With our Green Ambassador Programme, we hope to inspire, enthuse and energise our students and staff members to participate in creating a better world. Because it is Saxion’s ambition to make sustainability part of the DNA for every student and staff member! The Green Ambassador Programme revolves around the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. Saxion sustainability ambassadors are aware of the impact their own actions have on the world around them, they apply the SDGs to their subject area and they share awareness of these goals. To show our appreciation, every student or staff member who contributes in some way, however big or small, to the SDGs will receive a certificate.
The programme has three levels: Green Dreamer, Green Performer and Green Ambassador. To qualify, students and staff members must be nominated. The Saxion Green Office will assess all nominations. Certificates for the Green Ambassador Programme are awarded twice a year. Through this programme we hope to show how proud we are of all our students and staff members who have contributed to our sustainability goals! Do you want to find out more?
