Prototyping in FabLab

In our high-tech public workplace, everyone is challenged to make things themselves using various computer-controlled prototyping machines such as 3D printers, laser cutters, 3D scanners, textile machines etc. Students are encouraged to openly share their designs and ideas. The focus is mainly on ‘doing it yourself.’ We can help you and offer support through holding open office hours workshops or offering specific courses for realising your project.

Saxion FabLab Enschede focuses on Smart, High Tech and Textiles and is in line with Saxion's education topic of Living Technology - the successful application of innovative technology in education and research. The eastern Netherlands is the place where Living Technology forms an integral part of the infrastructure. Saxion plays a crucial role in this by translating scientific knowledge and insights into applications for society.
Saxion FabLab Enschede is there for you to:

  • Get started with modern, digitally controlled machines;
  • Experiment with materials and machines yourself;
