1. Assignment
Create and launch a highly potential new private label named The Third in The Netherlands and Germany. The categories in which The Third offers products are: Home, Women, Men & Kids. 

2. Project objectives
The objective of this project case is three-fold:
1)    Create a Buying Plan in PowerPoint and related buying supporting documents; 
2)    Create 1 prototype in cooperation with a partner University;
3)    Create an online shop window and promo video together with all groups, in which your actual prototype will be presented.
2.1 Buying Plan
Develop a new collection for your product group. Each employee has a specific role (see job descriptions). Make sure that all collections in the category home, women, men, kids match the identity of the brand. The Third wants to be a one-stop family store. Take while making the production plan all current developments in consideration. Each group designs a virtual floor plan for +/- 20m2 according to the “shop-in-shop” concept. Within the 20m2 there are 2 walls, which can be used in the floor plan. For the requirements of this Buying Plan, please see the study guide. 

Next to the Buying Plan, you will also provide in a separate document:
1.    Technical Pack, including prototype comments and packing manual (Excel file, file to be uploaded in .xlsx format);
2.    Quality test report (word file);
3.    Financial Plan (Excel file, file to be uploaded in .xlsx format);
4.    Meeting on film (MP4 format).

Test criteria

By the end of this project you will be able to:
to act independently within the supply chain of the textile and fashion industry by placing a fictitional order with an international partner;
to independently research the supply chain of a specific product group with the aim of a commercial buying plan for an international market involving all stakeholders;
to assess the quality of a prototype made by an international partner that was the result from the design, development and productionprocess  keeping all stakeholders in mind;
to realise a professional Technical Pack which can be used as a complete and professional communication product for all national and international stakeholders in the supply chain;
to translate, within a specified professional role, commercial skills into a Buying Plan and into prototypes and a store presentation;
to work together productively in a multidisciplinary and international team and is able to coordinate processes and work with tight deadlines;
can analyse and adjust his own actions, based on results and feedback from stakeholders. He/she is open to relevant developments in the international field.
