In this course, a basic theoretical background is given on (linux based) operating systems. Besides the theory, practical assignments are done on a simple operating system running on a embedded system (f.i. raspbian on a raspberry Pi). The practical assignments give insight to the complexities of an operating system. Also an introduction is given on concurrency aspects needed for the follow-up course Operating Systems 2.
