In the second year of the master's programme Innovative Textile Development, the student will work on their master's thesis project for two terms. The student will select their thesis topic themselves and approach a company, research institute or research chair, who is willing to take on the role of problem owner. The master's thesis project gives the student the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and/or add a new professional product to the professional field.

Specific learning outcomes:
The master's thesis project gives the student the opportunity to independently acquire new knowledge and/or add a new professional product to the professional field. The student is able to report on and present the project results in a clear and appealing manner. The student shows they are able to reflect on their academic career throughout the master's, as well as on their master's thesis project (content and process). The student is able to analyse the sustainability implications of their actions in the professional field, and is able to reflect on this.
