Enschede: BSN registration day
As soon as you move to the Netherlands and plan to stay for more than 4 months, you are required to register at the city hall of the city you will be living in to obtain your Dutch citizen service number (BSN). Saxion organizes BSN-registration days for all international students living in Enschede and Deventer. π
You have to schedule an appointment on your own at the city hall if you will not be residing in Deventer or Enschede.
The BSN-registration days for students residing in Enschede will take place on:
π Wednesday, September 4th, from 09:00 to 17:00
π Thursday, September 12th, from 09:00 to 17:00
Location (LOCATION CHANGED!):
π F1.82 and F1.83 (main building), enter the central hall and go to the first floor. From Servicepoint to the right and you will see the rooms for registration.
Important Information:
- You can stop by at any time during the specified dates and times.
- You are allowed to leave class for the BSN-registration; it will take approximately 10 minutes (depending on the queue).
π Please bring the following documents: - Your passport/ID card
- A color copy of your passport/ID card
- A signed copy of your rental agreement
- If you take out Saxion housing, the rental agreement will be sent to you before the BSN registration days
- If you are moving in with someone, written permission letter from the main resident and a copy of their identity document.
- The enrollment form of the municipality (you will receive this form via e-mail at the end of August).
Ensure all documents are printed single-sided.
- You will receive an official invitation via email at the end of August.
- If you have been living in the Netherlands already, you should already have your BSN. A BSN will be given to you once and you do not have to register again.
- If you do not live in Enschede, you do not need to attend. You should register at the city hall of the city where you reside. If you need assistance with scheduling an appointment, please contact the International Office at [email protected].
- A birth certificate is not required.
- You cannot schedule an earlier appointment, the city hall will refer you to these BSN registration days
- The city hall is aware of these BSN registration days so you do not have to worry about registering too late
Why Attend?
- It is mandatory to register at the BRP if you stay in the Netherlands for more than 4 months.
