International Business School students score again

First year students from IBS (International Business School) have helped Deventer based company Guide ID develop their markets internationally.

Guide ID provides an audio guide device called "Podcatcher" used to educate and entertain visitors during touristic visits such as museums or exhibitions.

In September last year, sixteen groups started the research for the countries France, Germany, UK and USA. Project supervisor and theme coordinator Thierry Tartarin commented "We are glad to be able to rely on local companies such as Guide ID to collaborate with Saxion. It is a win/win situation whereby our students work with a real assignment and the company can benefit from the results of the research at no costs".

Frits Polman, Managing Director was very satisfied with the outcome "It is impressive to see how accurate and relevant the recommendations are considering that students, only 6 months ago, knew nothing of our industry nor our product. All this from a single company presentation from our side! Their ideas provide us with a fresh and interesting outlook on our operations and strategies."

The group with the best export plan 2017-2018 collected the prize money of 500 euros, which was generously donated by Guide ID for their excellent performance.
