Successful International Sports Day for Saxion Students

Reading time Minutes

On the 7th of April, forty international students of Saxion represented the university of applied sciences during the International Sports Day in the Hague. We can look back on a successful and memorable experience.

Every year, multiple higher education institutions in the Netherlands organise a joint sports day for international students. This year, the event took place in the Hague, seat of the cabinet of the Netherlands, also known as the International City of Peace and Justice.

Multiple prizes

Our international students did not leave the venue empty-handed. They won the first prize playing darts, a second prize in basketball and a third prize in the soccer tournament. A big thanks to all participants and congratulations to our winners!

A third half

As you may know, soccer plays a very important role in the life of many Dutch citizens. True to the Dutch soccer tradition, students also enjoyed a third half during the international sports day. A time that did not involve any sportive activities, but a well-deserved time to socialise, relax and to have fun after all their sportive efforts.
