Tell your story with #SamenSaxion

Reading time Minutes

The corridors in our buildings are silent, the offices deserted and the classrooms empty. The contrast could not be greater, because at the same time Saxion is working at full capacity online. Through the new initiative #SamenSaxion (Dutch for #TogetherSaxion) we show how we, as a university of applied sciences, are and remain that Saxion community. #SamenSaxion lets everyone contribute online: students, teachers and staff.

Solidarity, awareness and pride

Thanks to the enormous efforts and flexibility of our Saxion community, we have redesigned most of our lessons and activities in recent weeks. In student rooms, at kitchen tables, from offices and bedrooms: we have been working together everywhere to be and remain Saxion. This new way of studying and working has given us something special as a university of applied sciences. It has given new meaning to the Saxion-family that we are together. A new form of togetherness has arisen, one with extra awareness to take care of each other and a genuine sense of pride in what we have already achieved together.

Share your experiences on #SamenSaxion

Although our online channels are wide open, our front doors will remain closed for the time being to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus. But what is going on behind the scenes? How are students and teachers experiencing online lectures? How are we able to redesign our research? What is involved in organising our Online Open Days? But also: what are the trials and tribulations of daily life now, while studying and working? Tag your own updates via LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with #SamenSaxion. Share your photos, experiences, ideas or vlogs with the Saxion-community!

Vlogging to give a glimpse behind the scenes

The weekly vlog series #SamenSaxion lets us showcase just how much fantastic work is still being done at our university of applied sciences. You can watch our vlogs via Saxion.nl, our YouTube and our other socials. Every week we approach students and staff to contribute. Would you also like to contribute? Email us at [email protected] and sign up.

This is how we can keep a record of Saxion as a community during these exceptional times.

This is what makes us #SamenSaxion.
