09-12-2021 Corona-update: Exams and corona
Saxion has decided to adjust the test rules for digital and written exams on location in term 2 and 3. In this way we want to prevent students who, according to the current RIVM guidelines have to stay at home, from coming to location to take an exam because they are afraid of losing an exam chance.
Retain exam option
Some exams are taking place in our buildings. For digital and written exams in terms 2 and 3 and for resits from term 1 that are to be taken in term 2 and 3 at a Saxion locations, the following adjusted rules apply.
If a student has to stay at home due to corona, corona symptoms or quarantine, as described in the RIVM guidelines, we certainly expect you to do so. Students who do not take a digital or written exam on location, can still take the exam later if they did not sign the attendance register. Please note that the number of chances a student gets to take this exam will be limited. It therefore remains very important that students - whenever possible - take an exam as planned.
The normal rules apply to remote exams or other exams that take place at a Saxion location - such as an oral exam or presentation. Students should register when required, and we expect them to take part. If this is not possible, they can still take the resit organised for this very reason. Students can see in their exam timetable whether a digital or written exam is to be held on location or remotely.
