Each year during Stukafest, dozens of musicians, comedians, and dancers perform in a number of student housing locations throughout the Netherlands. 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the event and now that live performances are not possible, Stukafest will host fantastic digital shows via Stukafest TV every Friday in February. There’s no need to buy any tickets, because Saxion has done this for you!

The 2021 edition of Stukafest is going to be a special one because it is an anniversary year and even though organising an event in times of the coronavirus is quite the challenge, the organisation has managed to put together an amazingly appealing programme. On 5, 12, 19 and 26 February, the twelve student cities will each present three rising stars of a number of cultural disciplines on Stukafest TV. In this way, you can plan out your own route to make sure you see your favourite acts. Between the performances, you will digitally cycle from city to city and meet a number of other student housing locations. You don’t even need to leave your house for this unique event.

Livestream

36 artists including singer-songwriter Tim Knol, Dutch ‘superdisco’ act Boter Boter, Emily Savlia performing a drag show, and Spanish dancer Joan Ferré. The performances take place every Friday starting 19:30 across three different channels during the two-hour livestream, in which the hosts will explain in detail how everything works. Ticket prices range from €2.70 to €50, but don't worry: Saxion has already bought them for you. We will also make sure to publish the link to the livestreams on MySaxion every Friday.

Enjoy!

So get comfy with your housemates or set up a digital event with your friends or fellow students and enjoy four Friday evenings of a fantastic range of performances! Check the programme at the bottom of this article to see which artists you won't want to miss, or visit the Stukafest website for more information.

Giveaway: decorate your student housing

Stukafest TV isn't meant to be watched in a boring, bare student room, which is why Saxion is calling on you to decorate your student housing to look the best that it can be. So hang up some streamers, give the walls a coat of paint, or come up with something creative and share a picture of your house in an Insta-story and don't forget to tag Saxion! Every Friday, the best decorated house will win a Bol.com discount voucher. For more information about the giveaway, keep checking our Facebook and Instagram accounts!
