25-03-2021 Corona update: Lockdown extended up to and including April 20
During the press conference on Tuesday March 23, Mark Rutte announced that the lockdown for higher education will be extended up to and including April 20. The curfew has also been extended till that date and will go to 10 p.m. from Wednesday March 31 onwards.
This means that in the coming weeks we will unfortunately mainly remain studying and working from home. As soon as the restrictive measures are lifted by the government, Saxion is ready for more educational activities on location.
The exceptions to the lockdown that have existed so far continue to apply: practical training and exams may take place on location. All timetables and exam timetables up to and including Tuesday April 20, will be adjusted to the extended lockdown and curfew. This will be visible to students on their timetable no later than Monday March 29.
Curfew to 10 p.m.
Up to and including Friday April 2, no educational activities (including exams) are scheduled after 8 p.m. in the Saxion buildings. In doing this we facilitate students and employees to get home in time before curfew. This allows us to avoid working with curfew declarations. From April 5 there will be exams again later in the evening.
If you run into problems with your travel time, you can download a ‘Self-declaration curfew’ here as proof that you were on location for an exam. A student also needs a statement from Saxion. For this the Exam Office can be contacted up to and including April 2. Prior to the exam, you can come to room F2.78 in Enschede or room B5.38 in Deventer or call 088 - 019 1662. From April 5, we will use a different method. We will inform you about this later.
