Introduction Weel is an exciting but mostly fun time for new students. It is the chance to get to know your fellow students, explore the school and city and take part in fun activities. If you plan to stay overnight during Intro Week, it is important to be well-prepared. After all, staying in a luxurious hotel is out of the question, so take these essentials with you to sleep comfortably and, above all, have lots of fun.

1. Sleeping mat or air mattress

It is nice not to have to sleep on the hard floor. It's best to bring a mattress, as this does not require a pump and can be rolled up easily to take with you.

2. Sleeping bag

Although the weather will hopefully be nice during Introduction Week, it can cool down at night. So bring a sleeping bag to stay warm and comfortable.

3. Pillow

During Intro Week, you will fully need the little sleep you get. Therefore, make sure you are comfortable and bring a pillow. Of course, if you want to save space, you can leave it out. Prioritise.

4. Pyjamas

During the INTRO, you will sleep together with your fellow students in a shared room or tent. So make sure you have a nice pair of pyjamas with you. So that you dare to face everyone again the next morning....

5. Toiletries

Don't forget to bring your personal care products, such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, and a towel. Then, when you meet your future classmates, at least you'll be fresh.

6. Slippers

Bring a pair of comfortable slippers or shoes that you can wear around the sleeping area. This avoids having to walk barefoot and offers protection and hygiene. Slippers are also handy to have on when showering.

7. Earplugs/eye mask

To improve your sleep quality, earplugs and an eye mask can be useful. They block out sounds and light that can disturb you while you sleep. Nice if you have noisy fellow students.

8. Extra clothes

It goes without saying that you should bring clothes, but make sure you have some extra clothes with you. It can happen that you get very dirty during a game, for instance. It is then nice to be able to put on something clean.

9. ID

During INTRO, there is a strict 18+ policy. Of course, you are not allowed to drink alcohol under the legal age limit. If you are 18+ and want a beer in the evening, it is important that you can prove your identity. From the age of fourteen, you must always carry your ID with you anyway, so bring it with you.

10. Powerbank/charger

A phone keeps you connected to the people around you. Of course, it is important not to spend too much time on your phone during the Introduction Week and to socialise in real life. Still, it is important to make sure you have a charged phone. For example, when you lose your way or your friends. You can also exchange numbers or social media right away.

With this comprehensive packing list, you will be well prepared to sleep during the Intro Week. From experience, I know it's an exhausting, but above all incredibly fun time. So go out and experience it! Try to take in every experience and gather as many nice people around you as possible. The Intro is an unforgettable start to your student life.
