The national campaign: ‘I oppose the cuts in higher professional education’ was launched on 27 September, in collaboration with all applied universities in the Netherlands. The aim of the campaign is to scrap the planned cuts to applied university education including the extended study penalty and reducing internationalisation, and ensure that there are still enough resources for applied research.

Video relay

Part of the campaign is a video relay, where students, staff and other applied university professionals object to the current cabinet’s plans. Saxion has also contributed to this video relay. In their videos student counsellor Lotte Beernink and mechatronics student Casper de Ruiter object to the extended study penalty. You can watch the videos below.

They will also be posted on www.voordetoekomstvannederland.nl. Help increase the impact of these videos by liking and sharing them.
