The Executive Board has appointed Arjan Stam as director of the new Information and Facilities Management Service (IFM), a unit in the new main structure of Saxion as of 2027. He will be starting on 1 August as transition manager (quartermaster) of the new unit and temporary director of the Facility Service Organisation (FSO).
Richard Wielinga, Executive Board member: "We are very pleased that Arjan Stam has chosen to join Saxion. In Arjan, we are getting an experienced and unifying director with expertise in the field of digitalisation, information provision, organisational development and complex change tasks. He has extensive experience in managing large IT and facilities organisations. These are qualities that are of great value for the further development of our Information and Facilities Management Service. We look forward to working together and wish Arjan a warm welcome to Saxion.”
Arjan Stam is currently IT Technical Director at Alliander NV where he has also held various other executive and management positions. In his current position he is responsible for the IT transformation of a complex non-profit organisation and manages the further development of digital services, enterprise architecture, governance and information provision. Prior to that Arjan was Director of System Operations and Director of Net Management at Alliander NV. He has also held positions at KLM and Accenture. Arjan studied Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology and has followed various programmes and gained qualifications in leadership, enterprise architecture and digital transformation.
Arjan on his new position at Saxion: "I'm looking forward to starting at Saxion. What I’m eager to embark on, is how everything here ultimately touches people: students who develop, colleagues who contribute their craftsmanship to good education and research and an organisation that is closely linked to the social challenges of today and tomorrow. The new IFM service provides a great opportunity to build something from the ground up and give it new impetus. A service that is soundly organised, but above all visibly contributes to education, research and co-operation. I am very much looking forward to getting to know Saxion and together with colleagues, continuing to build up this new service.”
The Executive Board wishes Arjan Stam good luck and success in his new position at Saxion.
