Working together with students in China
This year, the minor ‘Doing business with China’ is working together with a partner university in China for the first time: Huang Shan. Saxion students have brainstorm sessions on a regular basis with six fellow students in China.
One World Symposium: internationalisation and sustainable development
Students who go abroad during their studies learn how valuable it is to look outside their own culture. This was one of the themes during the One World Symposium.
Saxion signs Sustainable Development Goals agreement
On the 29th of March, during the One World Symposium, Saxion University of Applied Sciences signed the Sustainable Development Goals agreement.
International students come up with a sustainable technology to reduce the use of energy with an increased production.
A group of 45 international students worked on a number of issues posed by SMEs during the third edition of the Challenge Day. The team with the best solution won a prize of €1,000.-
Rental agreement for student accommodation has been signed
On February 9th of 2018, an agreement for the construction of student accommodation was signed by LIFE and Saxion. The Belgian company will convert old nursing rooms of the former hospital complex at the Ariënsplein in Enschede into student rooms.

First year students from IBS (International Business School) have helped Deventer based company Guide ID develop their markets internationally.
Organisations are clustering living spaces on Roomspot
On February 6th of 2018, the Enschede municipality, housing authority De Veste (housing authority), Stichting Jongeren Huisvesting Twente, Saxion University of Applied Sciences and University of Twente launched Roomspot, an online platform.
Memorable signing ceremony in Vietnam
On February 7th of 2018, the signing ceremony of a joint education cooperation agreement between Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and Saxion University of Applied Sciences in Vietnam took place, taking their strong relationship forward.
Students are invited to join the Challenge Day 2018
On the 16th of March 2018, the Challenge Day takes place in the Spinnerij in Enschede, an inspiring office building with a rich history. This event is intended for students of Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Windesheim and the University of Twente to work together on a business case.
