Students from the Tourism Management programme regularly complete internships at the Van der Valk Hotel in Antwerp. Heidi Vrancken, the hotel’s HR manager, is very satisfied with this collaboration. “They are hospitable, professional in their interactions, and truly guest-focused.”
Heidi is particularly positive about the communication with Saxion. “Clear agreements are made and everything runs smoothly,” she says. “We have an excellent working relationship, and I’m often very satisfied with the interns.”
Most of them have a professional attitude and are quite mature, which allows them to adapt easily to our working environment.
According to her, the capable and motivated Tourism Management students add real value to the Van der Valk team. “Most of them have a professional attitude and are quite mature, which allows them to adapt easily to our working environment. They are hospitable, well-mannered, guest-oriented and work effectively within the departments where they complete their internships, which contributes to our overall operations.”
As a result, Heidi hopes for a long-term partnership. “We can truly rely on them. The quality of the students makes it worthwhile to continue working with Saxion in the future.”
