Circular Business Models

The CBM line of research focuses on the organisational issues that accompany the transition to a sustainable, circular and inclusive society.

We are heading towards a society where raw materials are used sustainably and remain in circulation for as long as possible. This requires applicable knowledge at the micro, meso and macro level about the changes required to realise business models and forms of cooperation that contribute to a circular economy.

Key themes in Circular Business Models research

We research both in practice and with the professional field, how organisations can shorten and reduce linear raw material chains and make them circular.

We investigate how new and sustainable forms of collaboration lead to multiple value creation and impactful business models.

We research the role and potential of data in developing sustainable business models for raw materials, energy and water.

We are developing methods with others to educate and train the circular entrepreneurs of today and tomorrow.
