The MBA-programme prepares managers for organisation-wide leadership and decision-making. The programme approaches leadership development thematically. Personal development and coaching is a key theme to help you understand your value in the market and to develop plans to optimise your potential.

To follow this master, there is no pre-master required.

Internationally recognized degree

Saxion University offers this MBA programme in co-operation with the University of Greenwich: successful students obtain an internationally recognized British degree.

During your study programme

You will obtain a better understanding of the interrelationship of the functional areas of management, that will make you look at business issues from a holistic corporate perspective. You will be able to develop and implement a successful strategy for the organisation. It enables you to get a profound knowledge of functional areas of management, as well as improving your personal performance.

Course content

The full-time MBA programme runs for 12 months. Classes are scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

  • Developing awareness of current issues in business and understanding of organisations, their place in the business world and how they are managed
  • Providing awareness of current issues in business and management that is informed by leading-edge research and practice in the field
  • Improving to acquire and analyse data to evaluate their relevance and validity
  • Developing your ability to apply relevant knowledge to a range of complex situations, taking account of how this relates to other areas of the business or organisation.

  • Scholarship in Business (30 UK Credits)
  • Responsible Leadership and Development (15 UK Credits)
  • Financial Management (15 UK Credits)
  • Business Project (Proposal phase)*

Modules term 2

  • Business Project (continuation Proposal phase)*
  • Integrated Operations Management (30 UK Credits
  • Strategy & Business Decision Making (30 UK Credits)
  • Creative Problem Solving & Consultancy Project (15 UK Credits)

Modules term 3

  • Business Project (executions phase for Dissertation) (45 credits)
  • * Officially the Research Methods course is part of the Business Project. Hence, credits are only awarded after finishing the entire Business Project


To start with this MBA programme you must meet the following requirements: you have a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, 24 months full-time and relevant working experience and a TOEFL 550, IELTS 6 or similar English Language qualification at minimum (not applicable to Dutch students!).
