Interact with staff and students in an international learning environment
In The Netherlands, we have a long tradition when it comes to social work and welfare. During five busy and challenging months, you will broaden your perspective together with fellow students, as well as with Dutch teachers with various backgrounds such as social work, psychology, sociology and law. This all, of course, while enjoying the beautiful city of Enschede.
Are you interested in people from other countries and other cultures? Does Europe appeal to your imagination and are you internationally focused? Do you want to study with and learn from students with a different international background? Do you want to perform well and get the best out of yourself? If you do, this course “Crossing Borders: Human Rights in Social Work” is intended for you! The course is a 5 months’ study programme.
It starts every year in September and in February.
Together with students from different countries, you will expand your practical skills and theoretical expertise in the professional field of Social Work during this course in which English is the official language. The programme offers a variety of lectures, study groups, field visits, tutorials, project groups, written assignments and oral presentations. During your stay you will get the opportunity to meet and interact with people from various social and ethnic backgrounds. People who have many different experiences and views regarding social work. We consider this to be a key element in the educational program because we believe that through dialogue, debates and interaction, students broaden their horizons and develop a strong professional identity.
The course is open to 2nd, 3rd and 4th year Bachelor students in a Social Work programme who speak and write English at a B2 level.
