The Digital Discovery Days are the perfect opportunity to gather online information about studying at Saxion and meet current students and lecturers. We have collected some tips to help you make the most out of the Digital Discovery Day.
#1 Don’t be afraid to ask questions
You will have the opportunity to ask your questions during the livestream sessions on the Digital Discovery Day. Do you want to ask a question? There are two ways to do so:
- By 'raising your hand': click on the icon at the bottom of the screen.
- By asking your question in the chat on the right side of your screen.
To prevent everyone from talking, your camera and microphone are switched off. You may be invited to ask your question 'live'. The moderator will then activate your microphone.
#2 Prepare your questions
We will make sure that you will get a detailed impression of your favourite study programme(s) by exploring our website. However, you might have some additional questions. And that makes perfect sense! Choosing the right study programme means you will need to get into the details of the programme in order to figure out whether it will be the right fit.
Make sure you write your questions down, so you can ask them to a lecturer or student during one of the livestreams. Or, visit IntoSaxion anytime to ask your questions to current Saxion students.
#3 Make yourself comfortable and check your devices
Join the Digital Discovery Day from the comfort of your own home. You don’t even need to leave the house, so you can attend them even in your PJs if you like 😉
In order to create the best online experience, we would like to ask you to make sure you have a working WiFi connection. Furthermore, the best way to attend the Digital Discovery Day is by using a Google Chrome browser on a laptop. Not sure how to install Google Chrome? Check out these instructions. You can also attend the Q&A livestream(s) on your phone, but the experience is better on a laptop.
#4 Let your parents or guardian join
We can imagine that your parents or guardian would also like to know what type of study programme you will choose! They are more than welcome to join the Digital Discovery Day! And since the camera and microphone are switched off, you don’t have to worry that we will see that your whole family will be joining ;)
#5 Block your agenda
Check the program and pick the timeslot(s) that best suits you. To be fully prepared, you can write the timeslot(s) of your livestream session(s) in your agenda so you won’t miss out!
#6 Be aware of the possible time difference
Please keep in mind that the programme of the Digital Discovery Day is scheduled in Central European Time Zone (CET) times.
